Long story short, I continued believing in the power of words and the impact they have on people.

After graduating from the first four years of college with experience writing online, I started working online for a small digital marketing agency.

Soon enough, I realized the gift of being a part of a creative team of other skilled professionals and how much I thrived with other people!

But in the back of my mind, I knew something was blocking me from creating the way I felt was right. I was told to “keep yourself out of what you’re making,” but every artist has their own style and I wasn’t quite sure of mine or myself at the start. In all honesty, I didn't trust my capacity.

So when I left the first agency I worked for out of college, I decided to pivot and pursue a Masters of Science in Yoga Therapy to learn more about my capacity to hold space. Totally not the normal path of a digital marketing and communications professional, but stay with me here…

The next thing I knew was that I was beginning to understand the heart of people better with a depth I never felt before. I learned how to create a safe space based on science and clinical application to really listen to the unmet feelings and needs of people to understand how to craft a customized solution for them.

Finally, I learned to break through that creative barrier that surrounded allowing vulnerability to shine a light on the creative projects that I was making online.

While I still wear my therapist hat some days, I now feel ready to re-engage with this other part of myself in my career that wants to create connections and experiences online through digital marketing and social media.

Through unifying both worlds of psychology and analytics, I can bring people together into a digital community sustained by values and an authentic human desire to create belonging.
